The owner, Cindy Miller is a native of Amarillo, who currently lives with her dog, Doc. Her twin daughters can often be seen at the store helping their mom by climbing on ladders and moving furniture! Cindy retired from a 32-year banking career in 2021 and now devotes all her time to Alley Katz. She began her antiquing career when her mother, Patsy Barron, retired and began junking as a pass time. Not long after Patsy had Cindy hooked...a hobby where you get to shop all the time! What a concept!
Cindy purchased Alley Katz in 2017, after having been a vendor in the mall for many years. She is passionate about junking and really leans toward industrial items and rusty metal, with a love of fine glassware, china and crystal as an odd counterpoint. Cindy has built upon the previous owners work and continually updates the store where possible. Whether for the first time, or the hundredth, come in and say hello, Cindy would love to meet you!
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Andrea grew up with heirloom quilts on her bed and great-grandma's china on the dinner table. For Andrea, beautiful vintage treasures represent quality and craftmanship, family and roots. They should be everyday items in our homes because they add charm and texture to our lives.
Fortunately for Andrea, she fell in love with a Texas boy who brought her down south to the Amarillo antique and vintage mecca in 2009. Today, Andrea has two upstairs booths on the East end of the Alley Katz building. Come in and see a wonderful assortment of the treasures that have caught Andrea's eye in her antiquing hunts across Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and beyond - EAPG and depression glass, antique leather and beaded purses, vintage furniture, framed mirrors, flow blue china, Old Masters artists and original art, brass, silver and blown glass candlesticks, serving trays, scuttle buckets, cast iron, and so much more! A couple of Jose Puyet's lady friends are perched on the wall in one of Andrea's booths, but just look for the "Patina" tags, and you'll know you've found Vendor #10 and Patina Collectibles & Antiques!
